MOTIVATIONAL WEDNESDAY - SENT BY JOYCE

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Living Full of God
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“You shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace...”
(Isaiah 55:12, NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
The word “enthusiasm” comes from the Greek word “entheos.” “Theos” is God. When you’re enthusiastic, it simply means you are full of God. When you get up in the morning excited about your future, recognizing that day is a gift and go out with a spring in your step, pursuing your goals, passionate about life, then God will breathe in your direction. Studies tell us that people who are enthusiastic get better breaks. They’re promoted more often. That’s not a coincidence. When you’re full of passion, you have the favor of God.
Remember, God didn’t breathe His life into us to drag through the day. He didn’t create us in His image, crown us with His favor, equip us with His power to just go through the motions of life. You may have had some setbacks, the wind may have been taken out of your sail, but this is a new day! God wants to breathe new life back into you. If you’ll get your fire and passion back, the wind will start blowing once again. When you’re in agreement with God, He can cause the winds of favor to shift in your direction!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for another day, another opportunity to praise You and pursue the dreams You’ve given me. Help me to stay filled with Your joy, which is strength, so I can serve You with my whole heart in everything that I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.

PREPARING FOR FAMILY REUNION WEEKEND

Happy Friday!!

It is finally the weekend! This seemed to have been the longest week. This week we had summer revival at church so between working and going to church nightly, I am exhausted!!!! This weekend is my mother's side of the family reunion. I wish I had another weekend to relax before heading out to North Carolina. We are not travelling far but we need to head out early to get to the park and set up. Since my dad is driving, I hope to sleep all the way there.

Since I didn't have to work today I thought I would have been able to rest. Hmmm...That didn't happen. I had to do some laundry and I had to run some errands, Plus I had a hair appointment. It seemed like I was there FOREVER! For the past few weeks when I went to get my hair done my hairdresser has been empty. Of all days today when all I want to do is get in and get out, he is crowded!

Well, I am all packed and I am looking forward to spending some QT with family. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Can you believe next Friday is August? Where has the summer gone?

BREAK OUT OF YOUR COCOON - SENT BY JOYCE

Break Out of Your Cocoon
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…"
(Romans 12:2, NIV)
Description: Image removed by sender.
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
On the inside of each one of us is a blessed, prosperous, victorious person. This person is free from addictions and bad habits, confident and secure in God. But just because that’s in you doesn’t mean it’s going to automatically come out.
In today’s scripture, that word “transformed” in the original language is “metamorpho.” It’s where we get our word “metamorphose.” We know how a caterpillar metamorphoses into a butterfly. This is saying that if you meditate on God’s Word, then a transformation will take place.
Think about the little caterpillar. It’s very plain, nothing really special about it. At a certain point, it forms a cocoon. The metamorphose starts to take place. It’s a process. Little by little it changes. One day, it begins to push out of the cocoon. Before long, it goes from being one of the plainest insects to being one of the most beautiful. Instead of having to crawl on the ground and squirm around, it can now fly wherever it wants to go. Today, why don’t you break out of your cocoon? Believe that God is at work in you. Believe that He has good plans for you. Believe that He will complete every good work that He’s started in your life!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for the good plan You have for me. Thank You for Your Word which transforms me into Your image. I choose to trust, I choose to believe, and I choose to follow Your Word which is life to my soul in Jesus’ name. Amen.

MICHAEL KORS

I never was in to Michael Kors. I guess I never really paid it any attention and I have ALWAYS been a coach girl. I do carry other bags but I remember when I first started working, many many years ago, I bought my very first name brand bag and it was coach. Ever since then I have been hooked!

Anyway, I have noticed that a lot of the girls here (SC) carry Michael Kors bag's. So I decided to go to the website and check it out. I also see a lot of the tote bags in TJ Maxx. I noticed they were very reasonable too. My mom started to like them as well and she said that she wanted one. On her birthday this past June my Dad bought her the tote bag, well, I picked it out and he paid for it. He has no clue about a Michael Kors, ANYTHING!

Mom's bag!

After my mom got hers I started thinking about purchasing one. My first stop was Ebay. If I want to purchase something I usually start with Ebay first. I saw a few that I liked. I decided to wait to make sure this is what I wanted. Yesterday, I went into a store called Ross. When I moved to SC my mom took me into Ross and I fell in love. They are similar to TJ Maxx and Marshalls.  I fell in love.

Since I am suppose to me saving money for a car, I actually just went in there to look. Why in the world would I do that?  That is as bad as sending a drug addict into a crack house. BIG MISTAKE!

As I was strolling down the aisle I saw this MK tote bag in the clearance section. WHAAAAT!!! NO way!!! I picked it up and examined it. The reason why it was in clearance was because where the straps are on one of them the buckle hardware is missing. I said, to myself, that's it?? I quickly rushed to my mom and said you are NOT going to believe this. There was no way on God's green earth was a leaving this bag in the store for that price. Oh yea, I guess you are waiting for the price....DRUM ROLL!!!

The MK tote bag was only $80.00 Yup, that's what I said, $80.00. I couldn't not leave it there.
Would you?  Monday I plan to take it to the shoe maker to fix it. I'm quite pleased!

This is the one I have but the straps are black.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!

LOOKING FOR A CAR.

Happy Tuesday!

Since I have decided to make SC my home, its time I start car shopping. I had my own car when I was in NY but it was beginning to give me a lot of problems so I decided to let it go. Actually, the car was a gift from my dad so when I decided to come here, which I thought was temporary, my dad asked his mechanic to try and sell it. Don't know the outcome on that!

Since I have been here and learning my way around, I have been driving my mother's car on a regular. She doesn't drive it a lot or when she does go somewhere I usually take her but on the days that I am working I leave her car-less.(she's gotten spoiled with me chauffeuring her around) Well, my father's truck is here but if my dad has something to do then she is stuck in the house.  I feel bad so I think its time I start looking for a car of my own. I think I am interested in purchasing a jeep.
I have ALWAYS wanted a jeep. I like the thought of sitting up high and being able to see everything on the road. Also, living here(in the south) there are a lot of deer's on the roads, my cousin calls them "wild horses", not that I drive a lot at night because I still have the fear of the "wild horses". When you hit one of them they can totally destroy your car and I definitely don't want to injure myself or anyone else. I know I have to overcome my fear but that is one of the reasons I was interested in a jeep.

Hopefully, I can find a reasonable jeep with low mileage and car payments. I am going to start looking probably around October because I THINK that is when the 2014s come in and the 2013s are dropped in price. Wish me luck!

I  shall keep you posted!  Ciao......

I HAVE A NEW HOME! COME BY AND VISIT ME....

I'VE MOVED....

When it comes to the blogger world I am not so good. I had help setting up my blog and I enjoyed it so much but I wasn't good navigating my blog. I enjoyed reading other blogs and I enjoyed hearing comments that was left on my blog.(cancerinthecity

A few weeks ago I received an email stating that my site(domain) needed to be renewed. Huh? I knew when I set up the blog that I had to pay a yearly fee. Last year someone helped me renew my site but this year I couldn't remember how to do it. I tried to figure it. I tired to goggle how to do it. I even tried tweeting my issue but no one could help me.

I was going to let the blog go and just continue to follow/read my bloggers post but I enjoyed writing and I definitely enjoyed reading so I decided to just create another blog. My old blog was titled: Cancerinthecity which was named because at the time I did have cancer but I am 4 years in and still cancer free so I decided to name my NEW blog, NEW LIFE. NEW ME.

I have made a new life in SC now and I know I have changed and grown as a better person so that's the NEW ME!
